matt, i spoke to sheryl wu dunn, pulitzer prize winner on writing on chinese affairs. she mentioned a variety of places that are great to visit both for the people that are there and for the historic sites that you would be able to see ( if the're are your radar). among them are bejing,su zhoo, shan haii, sichuan and chung do. have fun, write more great stuff....can't get enough. dad.
